Way - Node
The Way node shows your Way Score and the perceived Effectiveness and Relevance of your Values (sometimes called Principles):
Your Way Score is a measure of how well your Values are working. It is a Node Rollup score for all the questions in your Salpulse Survey that relate to your organisation's Values. If your Way Score is green, it is still worth using the Navigation Tree to drill down into each of the Values as there may be some Values that are amber or red.
Clicking on the name of a value in the Navigation Tree displays the detailed results for that Value; including how well that value is being lived, how that Value is effecting decision making and how the Value relates to the organisation's Purpose.
If the Perceived Effectiveness component is green, this indicates that your people are, in general, consistently living your organisation's Values. Well done. Make sure to use the Navigation Tree to drill down to see the effectiveness of each of the Values independently.
The Perceived Relevance component (and the drill downs to each Value's perceived relevance score) indicates whether or not your Values still serve your organisation's purpose. A Value can drop in perceived relevance for two reasons. Firstly, the value is in fact not as relevant to advancing your purpose. But secondly, the organisation may simply have lost focus on this Value and your people have forgotten how it relates to your Purpose. If you suspect the later, then this can often be remedied by socialising the Value. This is done by reminding people of why the Value is important and making an effort to tell more stories about this Value in action (sending a Salp is one way of doing this). For Values that have lost relevance, you may need to do a culture refresh.
