A tag can represent a department, a region, a leadership level, or anything else you wish. To define the tags for your organisation, click on the [Admin](https://app.salpulse.com/admin) menu item, select the ***Users*** tab, click on the ***Tags*** radio button then click the `Manage Tags` button. This will open the ***Manage Tags for ... ***dialog where you can ***Add a tag***, or hover over an existing tag to edit or delete it: ::Image[]{src="https://api.archbee.com/api/optimize/JIBbX60uyU8EEhh2IsyiQ/z9cPEPJ6oHNFPXWgv1Asx_breakdowns-4.png" size="80" width="1594" height="882" position="flex-start" alt="Manage tags in Salpulse for your company 2" showCaption="false"} ## Assigning Tags or Each Employee :::hint{type="info"} Note: This function is only accessable by your Salpulse Adminstrator(s) and Restricted Administrator(s) ::: With the tags for your organisation defined, you can assign tags to each employee. Click on the [Admin](https://app.salpulse.com/admin) menu item, select the ***Users*** tab, click on the ***Tags*** radio button then tick the tags that are relevant for that employee. If you need to apply changes in tag settings to the most recent, closed survey, this may be done under certain conditions (please reach out to Salple for assistance). ::: :::hint{type="success"} Tip: To make it easier to tick all the right employees for one tag, resize the browser window to be very long but narrow, then scroll the columns until the one you want is abutting the list of people: ::: ::Image[]{src="https://api.archbee.com/api/optimize/JIBbX60uyU8EEhh2IsyiQ/-ytW6InDzA8C8KNK9VkAD_surveysshortcolumns.png" size="38" width="442" height="707" position="flex-start" showCaption="false"} ## Configuring the Breakdown Views :::hint{type="info"} Note: This function is only accessable by your Salpulse Adminstrator(s) and to a limited extent by your [Insights Users](docId\:BSKRJyhudgmrkxfo1u4PI). ::: Typically, you would configure a set of Breakdown Views which makes it quick and easy to review survey results by certain filters. For example, many organisations configure the following views: - `By Department` - `By Team` - `By Geography` A view is a collection of columns to display in the breakdown table. :::hint{type="info"} Note: Each named view is organisation wide. If you add or edit a view, it will be reflected across all users (who have access to breakdown views). The exception to this is the `Custom` view, which is private to you and can be customised without impacting others' Custom views. ::: To create a breakdown view, select the [Pulse](https://app.salpulse.com/pulse) menu item, click the ***Breakdowns*** toggle on, then click the ***setup views*** link: ![](https://api.archbee.com/api/optimize/JIBbX60uyU8EEhh2IsyiQ/rdzFSXGbc9pubbVUZSgu9_image.png) :::hint{type="info"} Note: Insights Users will only be able to modify their personal `Custom` view. ::: This will bring up the ***Setup Survey Breakdowns*** dialog. This will include all people who have ***any ***of these tags set. Eg: if you tick Admin and Marketing, this breakdown column will show the results for all your employees in the Admin ***and*** Marketing departments. You must include at least one tag in the first column. In the second colomn, optionally tick any tags that you want to apply as a filter, to the people selected in the first column. For example, with Admin and Marketing ticked in the first column and AUS ticked in the second column, the breakdown column will show results for all your employees in the Admin and Marketing departments who ***are also*** based in AUS (ie: a subset of the Admin and Marketing departments). :::hint{type="info"} Note: To preserve the anonymity of your employees' survey responses, the column data will not show unless it represents 4 or more people. ::: ![Anonymity of users in a breakdown for culture measurement in Salpulse](https://api.archbee.com/api/optimize/JIBbX60uyU8EEhh2IsyiQ/MIyRBAwn26EIhsvpmrEI0_breakdowns-8.png) ### Reorder, Edit or Delete a Breakdown Column Select the [Pulse](https://app.salpulse.com/pulse) menu item, make sure the ***Breakdowns*** toggle is on, then click the ***setup views*** link to open the ***Setup Survey Breakdowns*** dialog.
